PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Yohji Yamamoto’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection was a typical celebration of his monochromatic colour palette. Punk and bondage elements went hand-in-hand with the theme, and featured in various looks throughout.
Although swaying slightly from the colour scheme, this knit from the ready to wear Y’s line encapsulates the collection. It is constructed from a slightly stretchy and lightweight wool / nylon blend in a subtle burgundy / brown. A rolled cowl neck is its main feature, accessoriSed by a stapled button at the bottom - a nod to the collections punk theme. Pockets at the side seam also add an unusual practical edge. The body is somewhat slim, though drapey thanks to its lack of shoulder seam, while the sleeves are figure hugging and long with a slight flare at the cuff.
