Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme AW2005 Elongated Square-Neck Knit
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Yohji Yamamoto went in search of a new silhouette for his men’s AW2005 collection, elongating men’s clothes to dress and tunic-like proportions. Blazers, knits, tees and jackets all took on the new elongated treatment, and Yohji used a largely subdued colour palette to accentuate the silhouette.
The result was a masterclass in drapery; a notion that Yohji has experimented with since his early collections, and this knit is no exception. Constructed from a heavy open weave knit, the sweater takes on a distinct weight when worn. In conjunction with its tunic-like length, drop shoulder and slits at either side, it also has a unique swathe and flow. On top of this, it features an unusual square cut mock-neck that accentuates the volume of the piece.
Its cream base, and open weave make this knit a versatile and unique trans-seasonal layer.
