PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

This top is an early example of Miss Deana’s work for Maison Martin Margiela. It is constructed from a soft lightweight wool in a subtle caramel colourway. Here, Margiela plays on the typically annoying result of pilling on wool garments from wear and exaggerates them, placing bobbles sporadically throughout as an intentional design element.

The top is seamless, making it durable and comfortable with a more freeing shape. As usual, four white stitches are visible from the rear exterior where the label is attached.

Known for her expertise in knitwear design, Deanna Ferretti Veroni or "Miss Deana" collaborated with some of the world's most prominent designers including Kenzo, Yves Saint Laurent, Gianni Versace and Yohji Yamamoto to name a few. Over several years, Margiela worked with Deanna to produce exceptionally high quality knitted garments.
