Kenzo Homme 1990s Jungle Tapestry Patchwork Shirt
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Floral patterns were a significant motif throughout much of Kenzo Takada’s career. As the first Japanese designer to show in Paris, his early work preceded the more glamourised wave of Japanese avant-garde designers.
This button-up is from his early Kenzo Homme line. Here, he uses patchworks of patterned material and vivid jungle tapestry prints artistically scattered on a classic white shirt. Each of the patchworks feature deliberate distressed seams. The result is an interesting twist on the classic white shirt, whereby a traditionally formal garment becomes a much more playful one.
