COMME des GARÇONS x Speedo SS2008 Fish Pace Swim Cap

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

The collaboration between COMME des GARÇONS and Australian swimwear company Speedo, was an unlikely one. Since it was first conceived in 2005, it has proved to be an interesting marriage between swim tech and avant-garde design.

This swimming cap features a graphic of five fish with the Speedo x COMME des GARÇONS logo in large bubble writing on one side. On the other, a more subtle logo sits on the lower left side in each brands' signature font. Exposed white stitching is consistent throughout, contrasting well on the black background.

The transparent case is also emblazoned with a large repeated logo motif and could make for a great pouch or carry bag.

According to Rei Kawakubo, the project was conceived in response to a lack of fashionable and competitive swimwear. “I chose Speedo because of their tradition and authenticity and because they simply make the best swimwear. The collection is for all those that love creative design... and swimming.”

Made in Australia.

Condition: Very slightly stretched.
