COMME des GARÇONS HOMME 1990s Alligator Leather Derbies

COMME des GARÇONS HOMME, often abbreviated to ‘CdGH,’ is the oldest of the menswear lines under the COMME des GARÇONS umbrella. Founded in 1978, CdGH places an emphasis on quality, material and detail, while the output is generally simpler than its more experimental COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS counterpart.

These derbies are crafted from a deep brown alligator leather upper atop a sturdy sole. Most likely from the 1990s due to their restrained, minimalistic design. They have a textured, three dimensional feel while the muted colouring adds to the shoes’ understated versatility. They feature a beige leather interior with the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME logo stamped in gold on the insole.

More recently, similar use of alligator leather footwear was seen in both COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS’ SS2011 and AW2012 collections.

Made in Japan.

100% Alligator Leather

Condition: Signs of wear to the interior leather lining. Minimal wear to the upper and sole.
