Maison Martin Margiela SS07 Beige Reversible Bomber
Much of Margiela’s most revered work at his eponymous label was in his outerwear, and this piece is no exception.
Harking from his SS2007 collection, this bomber jacket is fully reversible. The outer shell is constructed from a beige polyamide with deliberately exposed panelling. Meanwhile, the inner has a thick cotton body with white and brown stripes throughout, and light yellow synthetic sleeves. As such it is extremely versatile, giving you the option of a durable minimalistic outer, or a more light-hearted play on nautical stripes on the reverse.
The collection, according to Martin, was a call back to 1970’s San Francisco with its Boho beat culture and a dash of hippie in mind, both of which can certainly be referenced in this piece.
