Kenzo Paris Cursive Logo T-Shirt
This is an early example from the Kenzo Paris mainline of a men’s logo t-shirt. Contrary to contemporary examples, a stylised italic font in white is used for the Kenzo logo. This is complimented by a subtle red stamp in Japanese to the lower right. Dating from the 1980’s, the shirt has slightly faded into a deep grey base colour, giving it a genuine vintage look. It features a ribbed collar and is constructed from single-stitch jersey cotton.
Today, Kenzo’s most popular output is without doubt its logo t-shirts and sweaters. This t-shirt is an important example of the evolution from one of Kenzo’s first forays into the now iconic logo.
